Description
I just found out that it is possible to attach assets to other assets as a component - that's great!
Would this also be possible with items? In one project I assemble devices from individual parts, so far I have solved this via the spent time to an issue - but with the above solution it would be much more elegant!

Have a link called 'Assemble An Item' clicking that should got to a page like 'payroll' where they can add a parent and children.
The edit page will be the normal item edit page but will have the componets accordion section.
New component in asset page should allow for choosing existing assets.
show only the parent item in the list page.
Added assemble item link. In assemble page, new parent item can be entered and child items can be loaded in component section. Child items serial numbers will be validated and saved.
This issue is fixed in 4.6. 4.6 is released, Please take a look.
